Area-specific innovative technologies provide solutions for climate change adaptation and low-carbon, sustainable development. These technologies are most successful when they are ecosystem-based, socially accepted, economically viable, and methodologically sound. In the climate technology park of the Climate Centre, a number of adaptation and mitigation technologies following those criteria will be developed for poor people in rural areas. Practitioners and researchers have the opportunity to discover these technologies through the Centre’s experts’ tour guide demonstrations, and workshops, or train themselves on them. Also, there are opportunities to develop, test, and replicate the Centre’s innovative technologies in a collaborative approach. Best practice technologies are showcased using interactive learning methods for visitors in the Climate Centre. Further information will be available for download and for collection at the information desk.
