Special Tour to Char
The char land zone is situated at the end of the lake. Char land” is the Bengali term, its English meaning is “Riverine Island”. In Bangladesh, both islands and bars are known as chars. The char zone is situated at the end of the lake. The char zone of Climate Technology Park represents the typical char areas of Bangladesh. Visitors will sightsee how people lead life and cope with adverse situations addressing climate change. Visitors will especially enjoy their visit to the kashbon (Catkins garden). Visitor also get to know the features of the char land housing system. After the visit, visitors can walk through a boardwalk across the water garden on the lake and can go to the cafeteria.
The whole tour of the char zone will take about 50 minutes. A visitor can learn different adaptation and mitigation practices showcased in this zone.
