Learning Centre
The Learning Centre is composed by a reception kiosk made of mud, the LEED-certified green building (Visitor Centre), and the Lake View Cafeteria. At the ground floor of the Visitor Centre, there are open exhibition areas, an indoor exhibition area, a climate library, outdoor exhibition areas with interactive learning spaces for children, as well as a baby care room with medical support facilities. From both the indoor and outdoor exhibition, visitor can learn about various climate-change induced problems, as well as possible adaptation measures and solutions in an interactive way. The climate library is a unique repository of climate knowledge and resources that boasts of a separate collection for the youth. A large conference room has all modern amenities to support trainings, workshops, and seminars. Visiting researchers also will find a work space with Live Weather Data facilities. A video projection theatre is always open to screen world-renowned documentaries on climate change. Visitors could explore all of the features of green building to make this house more energy efficient.
Many of these facilities will be rented out to others institutions in order to maximise the use of this unique place as a hub for climate learning and knowledge sharing. The Climate Learning Centre includes a cafeteria with a large terrace, overlooking the Climate Technology Park and the nearby forest with a beautiful lake. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to explore the features of Learning Centre.

Green Building
The guided tour introduces you to the raw materials used at construction phase, site development procedure, and all prerequisites of LEED certification with various kinds of energy-efficient, low consumptions fixtures. Solar electricity is the primary source of electricity used here, and is the main source of renewable energy used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in general. You can witness live the energy monitoring system we use to optimise the Centre’s energy performance. We also have a rain water management and water recycling system, a further interesting feature that you will learn about.
The rigorous focus on material selection, human comfort, air quality, and human health features of a building rightly prioritises the most important asset of the building: human beings.
The specific focus on social equity ensures that buildings are not considered in isolation of their communities but prioritise access and inclusiveness for all.

Renewable Energy
To tackle climate change, we need to stop burning fossil fuels, and we need to act now! There is much more we can do to generate renewable energy. To meet the challenge of climate change, we will have to use an array of different technologies to meet our energy needs. Here you will see various uses of solar energy, such as rooftop solar system, solar irrigation pump, integrated floating solar, parabolic solar reflector, solar dryer, solar water heater, solar water desalination panel, solar reverse osmosis plant, solar water disinfection etc. You will also experience some seemingly magical technologies, such as the salt water lamp, gravity light, atmospheric water generator, solar fountain, crank generator etc., as well as various cooking solutions like the retained heat cooker, improved cook stoves, bio char, biomass briquette, and fiber glass biogas plant. You can educate your children about renewable energy with various interactive technology models. One of Bangladesh’s oldest solar irrigation pumps is on display, which is almost 37 years old! Our plan is to make our Climate Centre emission-free with respect to electrical energy.

Gender Friendly Technologies
Technologies are, in general, unfortunately not gender-neutral, and tackling climate change demands that everyone's experience and skills are used. Therefore, climate technology action must ensure that everyone is engaged in decision-making processes, development, and use of technologies, and benefits from their outcomes. Women commonly face higher risks and greater burdens from the impacts of climate change, and their needs must be addressed to ensure effective and equitable climate change actions. Women also introduce new perspectives and innovations in identifying and implementing solutions.
At the Climate Technology Park, many of the technologies we demonstrate at the various climate zones are designed to be gender-friendly, especially for rural communities. Thereby, they are made more climate-resilient.

Adaptation Technologies
[ape-gallery 2149]In this tour, visitors will be able to explore five ecological zones. Visitors will get an overview of all the adaptive measures of climate change. The adaptation technologies which will be visited are a rain water harvesting system (RWHS), pond sand filter (PSF), floating vegetables garden, double layer mulching, mulching with mulch paper, pitcher irrigation system, drought tolerant grass, hydroponic grass, hydroponic agriculture, vertical agriculture, sack garden, hanging sack garden, raise tube well, agro-forestry, system of rice intensification (SRI), floating integrated agriculture, jhum cultivation, treadle pump, drip irrigation, agri-silvi-pastral. This tour is also an adventure for the visitors. The whole tour of the adaptation technologies in the park will take about one and half hours. Visitors can gather first-hand experience with adaptation technologies that are demonstrated in their ecological zones. In each of these zones, there are climate resilience houses and a visitor can explore the features of the respective housing system employed. After the visit, an eco-friendly cafeteria is ready for the visitors.
Special Tour to Coastal Zone
A special tour of the coastal zone only is especially interesting for visitors, who want to learn about the coastal zone and the livelihoods of the people. Visitors learn how coastal people can adapt to adverse situations due to climate change with respect to water safety and security, agriculture and food security, public health, infrastructure development, forestry, biodiversity, soil resources management, fisheries and aquaculture, and renewable energy. They are also introduced to the types of low carbon technologies that are suitable for the coastal zone. Visitors experience the essence of a mangrove forest through a mimicked replica of it.
The whole tour of the coastal zone will take about 45 minutes. A visitor can eyewitness about adaptation and mitigation technologies that have been demonstrated in this zone.
Visitors also explore the features of a climate-smart coastal housing system. After the visit, an eco-friendly cafeteria with organic food is ready for the visitors.
