Learning Centre
The Learning Centre is composed by a reception kiosk made of mud, the LEED-certified green building (Visitor Centre), and the Lake View Cafeteria. At the ground floor of the Visitor Centre, there are open exhibition areas, an indoor exhibition area, a climate library, outdoor exhibition areas with interactive learning spaces for children, as well as a baby care room with medical support facilities. From both the indoor and outdoor exhibition, visitor can learn about various climate-change induced problems, as well as possible adaptation measures and solutions in an interactive way. The climate library is a unique repository of climate knowledge and resources that boasts of a separate collection for the youth. A large conference room has all modern amenities to support trainings, workshops, and seminars. Visiting researchers also will find a work space with Live Weather Data facilities. A video projection theatre is always open to screen world-renowned documentaries on climate change. Visitors could explore all of the features of green building to make this house more energy efficient.
Many of these facilities will be rented out to others institutions in order to maximise the use of this unique place as a hub for climate learning and knowledge sharing. The Climate Learning Centre includes a cafeteria with a large terrace, overlooking the Climate Technology Park and the nearby forest with a beautiful lake. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to explore the features of Learning Centre.
